Texas Accident Lawyers

Monday, November 26th, 2007

By Terry Dunn Texas accident lawyers specialize in helping individuals who have been injured during an accident. In many cases, accidents are avoidable be it not for someone elses negligence. Texas accident lawyers are beneficial to anyone who has a claim against another for personal injury. Being involved in an accident can quickly become one of the most frightening times of anyones life and it may leave the victim feeling depressed and helpless. Texas accent lawyers will assist clients in filing a claim for injury that resulted from an accident. Every area has deadlines and requirements relating to the filing of claims and, if these procedures are not followed, the chance for compensation may be lost. Texas accident lawyers are aware of these timelines and will ensure that things are handled with minimal inconvenience to the victim. Anyone who has been the victim of an injury, resulting from an accident caused by the negligence of another, may be entitled to recover damages for medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering. Immediately following any accident, a police officer and an ambulance may be called to the scene. The officer will assess the situation, interview all parties involved and fill out an accident report. This document will be crucial evidence as it contains an official record of the accident, including the events which lead up to the accident. The officer will often take photographs at the scene to preserve with the report. Texas accident lawyers will request all documents pertaining to the accident report, including photographs, before proceeding with an injury claim. In addition, an ambulance will likely be called to assist the injured person(s) following an accident. If medical treatment is refused at the scene, a waiver may be required which indicates that medical treatment was not administered and that it was not desired by the injured party. If medical treatment is refused at the scene, this does not mean that medical treatment cannot later be sought for this accident. It is recommended that a medical doctor be seen following any accident. Many injuries, which are visible or obvious from the start, may be easy to diagnose. A major concern are injuries that may not yet be noticeable, but may later surface and cause pain to the injured person. It is advisable to see a doctor in order to determine the probability of any underlying ailment, which may result from an accident. Texas accident lawyers will request copies of medical reports, x-ray results, etc. A listing for Texas accident lawyers can be found in the telephone directory or the internet. The best way to select from the many Texas accident lawyers is to sit in on a free consultation with more than one firm. After discussing a claim with each attorney, the injured party will be able to make an accurate and informed decision about which of the Texas accident lawyers would be best suited to handle their case. While it is not recommended that a rush decision be made, it is important to seek legal advice as soon as possible. Mini Skirts to Church?

Monday, November 26th, 2007

By Verona Raymond Have you noticed that many of the new churches today allow their congregation to wear pretty much what ever they want to church? Even some of the pastors wear Hawaiian shirts instead of suits and ties. Some members might arrive wearing jeans with holes in them and flip-flops. Others might be sporting t-shirts with that have controversial statements on them. Would Jesus approve? I used to attend this church back in my hometown that had an unspoken dress code that didnt allow the women to wear any long pants to church. Only dresses and skirts that fell far below the knee. The men only wore dress pants and shirts, or suits with a tie. I really liked this church, but I was finding that trying to get ready to go was really tough for me because somehow I could never put together the right clothes! I normally never wore dresses that length so my selection was difficult at times unfortunately, even though I did specifically buy the clothes just to wear to church. Okay Im not a fashion model or anything, but I just wanted to fit in! I admit, maybe it seems like not dressing up might somehow be disrespecting the Church and maybe even God himself. I have thought about that, but I really think that there has to be a happy medium somewhere. If youre going to attend a church, it seems right or should I say proper to dress in a way that would be pleasing to Jesus. Imagine him sitting in a pew next to you. Wouldnt that really bring the appropriate attire issue into perspective? But my theory is as long as you dress respectfully and you are there to learn the good word of God, then its what is in your heart that really matters. Apple iPhone Bridges Cellular and Land Line Divide

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Christopher_Meinck]Christopher Meinck The cellular phone has single-handedly changed the way that we communicate with the world. As more and more people are losing their traditional telephone service in favor of their mobile phone, the next trend in the telecommunications world is the development of Fixed to Mobile Convergence (FMC), which gives you the ability to switch seamlessly from your cellular network to a land line network infrastructure, and back again. It is expected that by the year 2010 the idea of Fixed Mobile Convergence will be common in the telecommunications industry. With the slipping revenues shared by the traditional telephone companies, combined with the increasing number of people using IP networks to carry date and voice, are creating a model that is transitioning from long distance call, to a model based on a calling person. This may sound confusing but in the end this means the inevitable end of long distance charges when you make a phone call. With FMC a user would be able to take advantage of the cellular networks outside without ever having to sacrifice connectivity for better mobility. When a user enters an indoor environment which is a place where many cell phone calls get dropped, a converged handset will detect the presence of a wireless network and automatically switches to a lower frequency, keeping the call quality up throughout the change. The key that makes FMC successful is the handset. There are several different models that you can purchase that have the ability to switch from cellular to WiFi networks. As they become more popular the prices begin to decrease, and also are dependant on the types of plans offered by the carrier. When it was announced that Apple would be releasing their own multi-functional cellular device, it was said that the carrier who would be offering service for the new phone would be Cingular Communications which is now AT&T Wireless. They will likely be the implementers of cellular to WiFi calling plans. One of these current examples of a recently released fixed to mobile convergence is the AT&T Unity Plan. This plan allows subscribers to call anyone nationwide who is also a subscriber of AT&T wireless or wire line free of charge and without restriction. The Apple iPhone will run on the most recent MAC operating system for the Internet and video functions, and also comes equipped with a digital camera, the ability to run Google maps, texting, conference calling, as well as multimedia messaging. The iPhone will also have Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity to ensure that you are fully connected at all times. I have yet to mention one of the best parts about the iPhone, it is also a video iPod. Apple is going to have a release date for the iPhone in June, 2007. Be sure to be one of the first to get yours at a store near you. The 4GB version will cost you $499 and for double the memory at 8GB it will cost you $599. Be the envy of all of your friends and have the coolest new mobile device that money can buy. Plastic Surgery Procedures

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

By Angie Tidwell There are many different plastic surgery procedures available to those who would like to alter certain aspects of their bodies. Plastic surgery has been around in some form or another for many years, but has only been in extensive use in the 20th and 21st century. The top three cosmetic surgical procedures in 2004 Liposuction (325,000); nose reshaping (305,000); and breast augmentation (264,000. In addition to these procedures there are many other options for other areas of the body. In this article I plan to explore some of those cosmetic surgery options and give background information on those procedures as well. These numbers clearly show an increasing trend to have cosmetic surgery procedures performed for aesthetic, as well as reconstructive reasons. Well start by exploring the number one plastic surgery procedure, Liposuction. In the last year alone, 325,000 Liposuction procedures were performed on both men and women of all ages and race. Liposuction is a procedure that can help to sculpt the body by removing unwanted fat from specific areas, including the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, cheeks, neck, chin and upper arms. Liposuction is not a substitute for regular good diet practices or exercise but rather a further refinement in addition to diet and exercise. Recently a number of new techniques in liposuction have been developed, including the ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL), the tumescent technique, and the super-wet technique. These new procedures are helping many plastic surgeons to provide their patients with more precise results and quicker recovery times. Not all patients will be able to use the newest techniques but your doctor can discuss which techniques are the best for you based upon your medical history and various other factors. Liposuction is best performed on Normal weight individuals with firm, elastic skin who have excess fat in certain areas of their body. Liposuction carries a greater risk for people with medical problems such as poor circulation, severe lung or heart disease, diabetes, as well as some other conditions not listed. It is always best to let your doctor know your full medical history so that he can accurately assess the correct procedures for your body as well as safely and effectively treat you. In your first consultation, your plastic surgeon will most likely evaluate your health, determine where your fat deposits lie and the elasticity of your skin, and develop a plan that is right for you and your body. Rhinoplasty, or nose reshaping, is another commonly performed technique in which the nose is reshaped, altered, or straightened for both reconstructive and aesthetic reasons. This procedure is often used to correct breathing problems in the nasal region as well. There are two options for the incision in this type of plastic surgery, There is open rhinoplasty and closed rhinoplasty. Open rhinoplasty is performed by making a small incision across the columella, between the nostrils, in addition to incisions on the inside of your nose. This surgery is often performed in the most complicated cases. In the case of closed rhinoplasty the incision is inside of the nose helping to promote a speedier recovery as well as reducing the amount of swelling. Rhinoplasty can change the shape of your nose by recontouring the underlying cartilage and bone into the desired shape. Plastic surgeons today have the ability to make your nose shorter, longer, thinner, and straighter. Most of the incision in nasal surgery are made internally so there is no visual scarring on the exterior nasal cavity. Healing times vary with the type of incision but healing from nasal plastic surgery generally occurs within a few weeks after surgery. Breast augmentation cosmetic surgery is another very popular procedure and one that has been widely publicized by women around the world. Breast augmentation is surgery to enhance the size or shape of a womans breast for reconstructive or aesthetic reasons. Some of these reasons include, but are not limited to, enhancing the size of the breast for a woman who feels that hers are too small, correcting a difference in breast size, reconstructing the breast after surgery, and a reduced breast volume after pregnancy. Breast size can be increased during surgery by the insertion of an implant behind each breast and can effectively increase the bustline by a cup size or more. All said the best way to know if plastic surgery is for you is to get as much information on the procedure as possible before you make a decision. After all you can never have too much information when it comes to your body, right? More information on Cosmetic Surgery Options can be found on http://www.cosmeticsurgeryreview.com. Our Dream Mobile Data Service Has Arrived

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Paul_Smethers]Paul Smethers Nine years ago, I was fortunate to work for Unwired Planet, a small Silicon Valley company with brilliant innovators trying to enable Internet services on the mobile phone (it later morphed into Openwave Systems). Our task: to dream up what mobile phones could do with Internet capabilities. What we didn’t know then was that it would take nearly a decade to realize these dreams, and it would happen in South Korea first, not America. Even then we knew the mobile Internet was a different paradigm from the wired Internet-people won’t buy books from Amazon.com on their phone, and they won’t do research with Google. Instead, we imagined the mobility of the experience, with phones knowing who we are and where we are. And since it is hard to type on phones, services would rarely ask for text input. To account for the small screens, sites would weed out all but the most important information. News or weather services would work off the phone’s location. Stock symbols or e-mail usernames would automatically be remembered. We are mobile. We want data quick and easy. No, the wired Internet wasn’t our model. What happened? European and American operators sold “the Internet on the phone,” and developers dutifully streamed their complex PC web sites to the mobile phone, barely paring them down for mobile usage. Stock quotes were 18-40 key-clicks away. You couldn’t get the weather in less than 5 minutes. This definitely wasn’t our dream. I was lucky, though, as Openwave sent me on annual research trips to Japan. The Japanese culture and competition led them to develop the world’s greatest mobile data services. Soon they exported camera phones and ringtone downloads to other countries. This still wasn’t our dream, but it was coming closer. In 2005 I went to South Korea to research their services. They had quietly developed better consumer data services than I had seen anywhere else in the world. SK Telecom’s June service is a consumer masterpiece. After I left Openwave early last year, I decided to analyze these markets again, this time freely sharing the results with the public. Here is what I found: Imagine you are 7 years old. You ask your parents for a mobile phone. Do you get it? In South Korea you do. First, you remind mom and dad that the phone will automatically track you (no, your parents don’t have to keep checking where you are; instead, your parents get an SMS when your phone leaves a specified geographic zone, like around your school or home). Next, you remind them that with SK Telecom’s Ting service for children, they will have fixed limits on costs. The phones are also designed for young children, with a fixed limit on how many phone numbers can be stored or used (so you can only call mom and dad) and protection against inappropriate services or usage. Besides, you whine, “everyone else has one…” You are now in high school. You move up to SK Telecom’s TTL service (KTF has a similar service). TTL has TTL Zones, which are cool cafe-style meeting places with free wired Internet access and other mobile services. Also, if you only use the phone in your zones, your costs are much lower. Kids like music, right? Sign up to Melon or Fimm and get all the music downloads you want for only $5 per month. You want My Space? In Korea this is cyworld, and it is available on every mobile operator’s phone. It isn’t their PC web site-that’s inappropriate for a phone-but an easy-to-use, 2 to 3 key-click experience that is so addictive it gets 20 million visitors a month (South Korea only has 48 million citizens). As an adult, you might find Cizle helpful for buying movie tickets and charging them to your phone bill (it sends an SMS with a code you type at the theater to get the tickets). Nate Golf helps you set up your tee times and track your handicap. Need a taxi? Just press a few keys-they know your location and will send it directly. Small business owner? You can remotely monitor your restaurant from your phone while you are away. And yes, you can get a stock quote. How many key-clicks? None. Just open your phone and 1MM scrolls your favorite stock’s quote on a line on your idle screen (along with the weather and local news). Many of these services are also available in Japan, but I found the user interface and reduced typing or scrolling on SK Telecom’s phones to be much more consumer oriented. Check out the full reports at [http://www.consumerease.com/ezinearticles2w.aspx]www.consumerease.com. These services are fascinating, and I can’t wait until they are available here. Slow Down For Weight Loss

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

By Donovan Baldwin Ask anyone who meditates or practices yoga regularly, and they will tell you that either one helps you slow down and get in touch with yourself. I, like many others, have always assumed that being in touch with one’s self was a good thing if a little hard to quantify and measure. However, there is one part of us that can be quantified and measured, and that is how much we weigh. As a society, there seems to be a lot more of each of us to get in touch with than there used to be. There are even those that are calling obesity an epidemic, both here in the U. S. and in other countries as well. There are certainly many people who want to take charge of their lives and bring their own weight under control but who either do not know where or how to start, are not sure how to find the time in busy schedules for regular exercise, or who are simply daunted by the entire mass of data and life style change represented by adopting the proper exercise and nutritional changes that they know must occur. Therein lies the crux of the matter. Although many people may not be aware of this fact, the weight loss equation has been solved long since. Eat more calories than you burn and you will gain weight. Burn more calories than you eat and you will lose weight. Those without this knowledge pursue all sorts of diet gimmicks, fad diets, and sometimes dangerous diet pills when simply making a few lifestyle changes over time would eventually lead to weight loss and a healthier body. Even those with this knowledge are often confused about what to do and when to do it, or just feel that it is one more straw in the pile that surely will eventually break the camel’s back. While I normally advocate biting the bullet, and not another fudge brownie, and, say as the commercial says, “Just do it!”, the fact is that a little helpful tip or hint here or there might help some people start their climb up out of the obesity pit. One such tip is simply, as the yoga practitioners and people who meditate have known for years, to slow down. Life lived at a hectic pace can not only create stress which can contribute to weight gain through “stress eating” and the action of normal chemicals within the body such as cortisol, but eating too fast can contribute to weight gain as well. In fact, researchers at the University of Rhode Island at Kingston have found more than one way that slowing down at the breakfast, lunch, and dinner tables can help us lose weight. In one study, participants lowered their calorie intake simply because the researchers told them to take their time. When told to eat as quickly as possible on the other hand, they ingested more calories. Researchers also used such tips as having them lay down their spoons between bites, and chew their food thoroughly, between 15 and 20 times. This chewing thing is interesting, because I had heard about a “chewing diet” in which participants were to chew their food several times before swallowing. It all sounded a little mystical to me, and I was inclined to write it off until I read more about research at the University of Rhode Island. It seems that when the diner chews the food 15-20 times, several things happen. Apparently, the trigger is that thorough chewing helps to release about 50% more nutrients in the first minute after the food enters the stomach. As a result, blood flow to the digestive organs is raised nearly instantly raising the metabolism. This, in turn, results in a more rapid onset of a feeling of fullness, causing the diner to feel full…and finished…sooner, thus preventing the ingestion of excess calories. It has long been known that one problem with weight loss is that we simply tend to eat more food than we really need or want. Part of this is the result of the fact that signals of fullness take their own sweet time getting through to the brain, allowing us to take in more food than was really required or desired. So, slow down. Chew your food carefully. Enjoy the taste and flavor of each morsel. Maybe even take smaller bites. The researchers also found that giving the participants smaller spoons helped. Lists of diet tips have long included the admonition to serve meals on smaller plates as that helped the portions appear bigger and more psychologically satisfying. Take this little bit of information, add a little bit of exercise, and start making some better choices about what you eat, and you might find that you have created the start of an effective weight loss program. Florida DUI Attorneys

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

By Josh Riverside Driving under intoxication from alcohol or drugs is a serious traffic violation in Florida and comes under misdemeanor or traffic crime or even felony in some cases. Violators of DWI (driving while intoxicated) laws can be arrested and penalized under the Driving Under the Influence of Alcoholic Beverages, Chemical Substances or Controlled Substances Law. s. 316.193, F.S. A person is said to be under the influence of alcohol if he/she has blood or breath alcohol content of more than 0.08 (grams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood or grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath). As per the Florida law, every person operating a motor vehicle gives an implied consent to take a chemical breath test when suspected of drunk driving by an official. There could be blood tests and urine tests also for determining the levels of alcohol in blood and urine. Refusal to take these tests would result in confiscation of the driving license for a year. There are certain legal formalities to be undertaken when involved in DUI cases. It is better to take the help of an attorney who has specialized in such cases. An attorney would be able to provide guidance about the rights of a person in the event of being arrested under DUI offence. The role of a DUI attorney would be to review the facts of the case, handle court procedures, and determine the clients standing in the case. He can also negotiate on the behalf of the client for case settlements. DUI attorneys can also help in the review of the drivers license suspension a few days after the arrest. They may also help with alcohol rehab programs and even ask the court for leniency showing that the person is changing for the better. Florida DUI attorneys are generally well versed in all the technicalities like breath tests, blood analysis, urine tests and drug recognition evaluations. They can provide defense based on these test results if they are favorable for the client. They can also defend by analyzing the environment and road conditions at the time and location of the arrests and any other factors that may have affected the sobriety tests at that time. Defense can also be built by analyzing the DUI deposition testimonies of the cops as well as state expert witnesses. Attorneys can effectively review the case for any loopholes, conduct independent analysis of the blood samples, check the calibration and maintenance records of the breath-analyzing machine, suppress evidence and obtain good witnesses to provide the best defense. Florida DUI attorneys are governed by rules and regulations under the State Bar. Most attorneys provide free information about their qualification and experience so it better to check up clearly before signing up an attorney. There are several DUI attorneys in Florida. Information about these lawyers can be obtained through the Internet. There are also specialized websites of law firms that specialize in DUI cases, which would also provide information about Florida DUI attorneys. Finding a good lawyer is very important. Friends and family members are another reliable source for finding a good DUI attorney in Florida. Florida DUI Attorneys provides detailed information about Florida DUI attorneys, Florida alcohol treatments, Florida DUI and fines, and more. Lipo Boom Reality

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

By Barry Lycka Are you feeling down and out? Do you feel even worse when you look in the mirror? Cosmetic surgeons tell us you are not alone. They say the popularity of reality television shows like ABC TVs Extreme Makeover has led to an increasing boom in cosmetic surgery. You may be one of the many people who are not happy with the way you look. Look in the mirror right now and tell me what you see. Do you see flabby thighs, a sagging chin or a tubby tummy? If so, then liposuction could be just what the doctor ordered. Liposuction is also known in the medical arena as lipoplasty or lipo for short. Lipo surgically removes excess fat from deposits beneath the skin in many areas of the body. The procedure sounds like it hurts. Surgeons use a hollow stainless steel tube called a cannula. The cannula is hooked up to a vacuum. It is inserted into an incision in the skin. Fat deposits are then gently sucked out of the body. It didnt hurt at all, says 25-Year old Jenn Rogers. Rogers is the mother of three year old twins. She decided to have lipo to get her post baby abdomen back. She says, I tried so hard through exercise and diet to do it. But, nothing I tried would work. Liposuction is quickly becoming one of the most popular forms of cosmetic surgery for that very reason. It targets the areas of fat wed like to shoot away. It is commonly used to reduce fat in the abdomen, hips, butt, thighs, chin, neck, back, chest and arms. Can you believe that doctors also use lipo on the knees, ankles and calves? As you can see, liposuction will work on just about anywhere you see fat and want to hide it! It sounds like it hurts, doesnt it? Well, the amount of pain depends on individual circumstances. Liposuction can be achieved painlessly by local or general anesthesia. However doctors consider liposuction a mild surgical procedure. It is performed using a general or local anesthesia. A heavy IV sedation is also used in some cases. Recent advances have done a lot to ease the pain. Doctors can now precisely target fat areas which help to reduce recovery times. Despite the recent popularity, lipo has actually been around for more than a decade. I had my first liposuction in 1992. It was before anyone even knew about it. I wanted to reduce the signs of aging in my face, says retired school teacher, 69 Year Old Rebecca Long. The grandmother of three has had three additional procedures since then. She laughs, People now confuse my daughter with being my sister. I dont know if thats good for her, or bad! You may be wondering whether liposuction is for you. Some folks figure if they have the greenbacks then they can do it. But, whether you have the money to pay for it is just one of the factors you should consider. It is important that a surgeon be board certified for the technique that they are going to use. Youll want to look at his or her experience and safety record. Liposuction is not risk free. There are many things that can go wrong. Complications can occur due to a poor judgment on the part of the doctor. The better educated you are on the procedure, the greater you chances of spotting a problem before it occurs. You should be concerned about disfiguring skin irregularities that can occur if the surgeon tries to take too much fat away in one procedure. The use of a large cannula can also affect the outcome of your procedure. Large cannulas remove fat quickly. However, they are more likely to lead to skin irregularities then small cannulas do. Small cannulas are less than 3 millimeters in diameter. Theres a strong chance youll need a large cannula depending on the amount of fat you need taken away. Surgeons use the small cannulas during the Tumescent Procedure. The American Medical Association says this technique when used with local anesthesia is the safest. Under this method, the diluted local anesthesia lasts for hours reducing the need for narcotic pain relief. Doctors say there have been no reported deaths under this procedure. In addition, even if its used with general anesthesia, Tumescent Procedure is safe if theres no large fat removal. There is another surgical method that utilizes a modified version of the Tumescent Procedure. This modified version combines local anesthesia with general anesthesia or IV sedation. General anesthesia and IV sedation may be dangerous when used alone, just imagine the danger when theyre put together. As a result, an anesthesiologist must be on hand to handle the administration. Youll also want to make sure that you dont have any other surgical procedures the same day as your liposuction. Youll want to avoid long term exposure to anesthesia because its dangerous. Taking away a large amount of fat can lead to serious complications. Also, removing an excessive amount from too many areas can also be dangerous. Youll also want to make sure that you dont have any other surgical procedures the same day as your liposuction. Healing can occur quickly thanks to all the advances in liposuction. Liposuction recovery times are shorter today than a couple of decades ago. You can return to a normal lifestyle within four after surgery with most procedures. However, a little bit of local anesthetic remains in your system. It is later absorbed into the blood stream. Would you believe that draining the anesthetic solution out of your incision actually speeds your rate of healing? It also reduces swelling and bruising after surgery. Drainage is also speeded up by leaving the incisions open instead of closing with sutures. Your surgeon can also make tiny holes in your skin to force drainage. Your surgeon may also encourage you to spandex clothes to promote more drainage. Your surgeon can also drain it through absorptive pads that are placed over your incisions. Despite the surgical concerns, liposuction is changing lives like Jenn and Rebeccas. It can improve body posture and image ultimately leading to a happier, healthier, you. About The Author Barry A. The 7 Phases of Change

Monday, November 19th, 2007

By Kimberly Fulcher Lose The Weight For Good With The Seven Phases of Change The process of losing weight requires change; in lifestyle, routines, and habitual choices. One of the primary reasons youve fail when attempting to lose weight is that you havent planned for the phases of change you will experience as you begin the process of transforming their body. Lets do something about that. Join me in exploring the Seven Phases of Change, and take control of your weight for good! Phase One: Acknowledgement Phase one is about honesty. You must clearly define the habits that arent working for you, and make a commitment to change. (For example, eating a pint of ice cream in front of the television will not help you reach your goal weight. Going for a walk with a friend will). Phase Two: Excitement and Skepticism In this phase you begin to believe that you just might be able to do this. Youve identified your obstacles, and youve started to make some changes. This will feel great. Inevitably, your feelings of excitement will mingle with skepticism. After all, when youve spent years losing and gaining the same ten pounds, you can start to believe that theyre going to be a permanent fixture in your life! Still, in this stage your excitement should outweigh your skepticism, and you will enjoy the process of starting to make changes in your life. Phase Three: Rebellion When you are in rebellion you will have a strong desire to break the rules of whatever program youve adopted. This could mean that instead of hitting the gym you hit your fridge with a vengeance; eating everything that isnt nailed down (or healthy). Admit it, youve done this before. The difference between people who succeed in losing weight vs. those who dont lives in this phase. Either youre going to move beyond the fact that youve just eaten 10,000 calories, and get back on the horse, or youre going to wallow in self hatred while you finish off a bag of chips. Put the chips down, and choose to get back on the horse! Phase Four: Education In Phase Four you decide that you will invest your time and energy in learning about why you do what you do, and how you can make permanent changes in your behavior. This requires education and self-inquiry. Find out why youre doing what youre doing, and identify what you need to address in order to make a permanent change. Phase Five: Anger and Questions While this phase can be uncomfortable, it is an incredibly important part of your journey. At this point you will connect with feelings of anger and disillusionment as you realize how simple it can be to develop healthy food and exercise habits. When this becomes clear, youre going to realize that youve been sold a bill of goods by the diet industry, and this is going to make you mad. Go ahead, allow yourself a moment or two to feel frustrated. Then, get over it. Nothing productive will come from you finger pointing, marinating in resentment, or feeling sorry for yourself. You are in charge now, and that means you can begin using your newfound knowledge to create new results in your life. In fact, you can use your anger to spur you on! Phase Six: Im Free! Your feelings of freedom will bring you great joy, as well as some grief, in phase six. When you recognize that you have successfully made a life change, you will feel a sense of freedom unlike anything you have ever experienced before. Your joy will be overwhelming. At the same time, its normal for you to experience simultaneous feelings of grief. After all, the changes youve made will materially impact the relationship you have shared with one of your most trusted friends; food. After all, food has been a constant and predictable form of security and sustenance in your life. When you realize that you cannot rely on eating to meet your emotional needs any longer, it is normal for you to feel a bit sad. Allow yourself to process those feelings. Then, refocus on your freedom and joy! Phase Seven: Conditioning Finally, your cycle concludes with your commitment to stay on course. Turn your new behaviors into trusted habits, and you will embrace a lifetime of health, fitness, and energy. Enjoy! How To Attract Quality Women Into Your Life Without Approaching Her First

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

By Teddy Shabba Question From A Reader: I have reached a point in my life where I just want to find a good quality woman as opposed to having sex with any woman that comes my way. The problem is it seems at least where I live that all the good women are taken or I can’t seem to attract them. I am in very good shape, have a six pack, own 3 million dollars worth of property, make about 300 grand a year and all I seem to attract are low quality or worn out married women. All I want is an attractive, well educated, intelligent woman who has morals and has something going on in her life and who is a giver as opposed to the high maintenance women you find these days. I am kind of shy in approaching women, especially the hot ones, and most of the woman I have gone out with were the ones to make the first move. Any suggestions as to what I can do to improve things? Answer: To make a long question short what you really want to know is how do you get a quality woman to make the first move with you? The short answer is it is best to assume she isn’t going to make that move and approach her first. You already know that, even though you have successfully had women of low quality approach you first. The good thing is that you haven’t settled for one of these low quality women and see them for what they are for. A majority of the women that approach men are low quality; it would be nice if they weren’t. Yet, the truth of the matter is a woman who is attractive, well educated, intelligent, and has something going on in her life has no need to approach you. Now, this doesn’t mean she wont give a man signals to approach however at the end of the day any woman that you think might be quality you must approach. The only way you are going to get what you want is by actively searching for it and putting your ego on the line every now and then.
